As a tourist here, naturally I wanted to experience authentic Mediterranean cuisine.
I happened to pass by Hashaked, a family-run restaurant in business for nearly 50 years, conveniently located in central Tel Aviv. I wasn't prepared for the sumptuous feast I was about to enjoy! (Warning to all: Bring your appetites.)
The specialty at this culinary jewel is fish. But not just ordinary fish. Everything the sea has to offer. All homemade dishes prepared to your liking. There's much more than fish--kebabs, steaks and chicken. And with the entrée comes a first course of a of salads (pick from 23 choices). The atmosphere is as charming as the staff.
The owner and host, Chiam, makes it his personal mission to ensure that your experience is unparalleled. At this point, you're probably thinking super…terrific. I'm going to Hashaked immediately. But, wait. What about the price? Do I have to cash in a CD to pay for my meal?
Actually, it's one of the best "investments" you'll make! Your return on your money is excellent. Beteavon
