On a hidden corner in the heart of Jerusalem, in a small and magical alleyway between Jaffa St. and the Nachalat Shiv'a area in the building where the first silent movie was shown in the city, sits the restaurant Sakura, a midsize Japanese establishment.

Once a kosher restaurant, Sakura is no longer due to the demand of a tourist population as well as locals who had visited Japan.  This choice inspired a bit more control over the Jerusalem palate and with a bit of guidance they set off into the finest unique tastes of the Japanese kitchen.
Since, Sakura has ventured distances.  Over the years, the kitchen staff has become experts in Japanese cooking; Sakura truly advanced the Israeli Japanese dining experience.
