Makom Malev

At our place, Makom BaLev, we believe that when your food arrives to your table, your heart opens… and it comes with love… and this together with the fragrance of our dishes and the character of the place gives birth to something new.

"Tribal Fire"
…From time immemorial, families gathered around the central fire to enjoy the heart and, of course, to cook.  Throughout the course of time, the tribal fire turned into the heart of the kitchen, where mom would cook the family's favorite dishes.  The fire expresses the essence of motherhood enfolding all in a warm hug… the scent of trees also an essential part of the spice in the food.  We chose a taboon oven in the shape of a circle, made from olive trees, in order to preserve the essential fragrance and spec, passing through the smoke and infusing the presence of the trees in our food.

Makom BaLev is a magical garden filled with organic produce, vegetables and spices picked twice a day to match the needs of the kitchen.  All patrons are invited to a tour of the garden as well.
