Dona Rosa

Dona Rosa – A Rustic Argentinean Restaurant

South America 1937

In the Argentina Pampas, between Buenos Aires and La Pampas, Marcus and Rosa Rochfliesh found a 6000 square meters that belonged to Baron Hirsch.
The couple fell in love with the property, and purchased it immediately.
On this area the couple built a farm and with another 12 workers worked the land and lived off it.
Don Marcus raised cattle for meat and the wheat crop, while Rosa was in charge of the house and upkeep of the farm.
Life on the farm was harmonious, full and satisfying.
And the symbiosis was at its height at mealtimes.
Twice a day, all the farm's workers would gather to eat, drink, and share the events of the day, while the table sat brimming with intoxicating scents and aromas, Rosa's delicacies were nicknamed Dona Rosa.

Israel 2003

In an Arab style stone house, the grandchildren of Don Marcus and Dona Rasa built their grandmother's kitchen, just as it was on the farm 60 years ago, in an effort to faithfully reproduce the atmosphere, the taste and the scents of the same dinner table that Don Marcus and Dona Rosa would gather round on the farm.

We hope that during your visit to the restaurant, we will be able to share the traditional meal that Dona Rosa would have presented you with on the farm.
