Cafe Batya
Cafe Batya is about to celebrate 70 years specializing in such delights as gefilte fish, chopped liver, p'tach, goulash, special house schnitzel and more delicacies from the Eastern European kitchen. It will certainly entice your appetite and give you a warm homey feeling.
The establishment opened in 1941 offering authentic Jewish food just like at Zeyde's house.
For those that seek a unique combination of the feel in the First Hebrew City, a modern atmosphere, alcohol and superb service - Batya is the promising port.
At the bar you can find Leffe Blond or house vodka to enjoy with your chopped liver or salty fish (a unique combination no doubt) and recall the days of the shtetel. The menu offers tasty food appealing to the nostalgic side as well as the rest of the traditional dishes. To enhance the atmosphere, you will find announcements from classic newspapers such as "Davar" from the days when you could still find goddesses in the jungle (the film "Goddess in the Jungle" was showing at the old Eden Cinema and "Madame Butterly was at the Mugrabi in Tel Aviv).
We are happy to arrange events for up to 30 guests and offering catering for events with up to 50 guests.
